This policy explains how Aaila collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal
data, and your rights — including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
and the DPDP Rules, 2025. By creating an account you consent to the processing described below.
1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary)
Aaila Live ("Aaila", "we", "us") operates a live-shopping marketplace connecting buyers and
sellers in India through the Aaila and Aaila Partner mobile apps. For privacy questions or to
exercise your rights, contact our Grievance Officer (see §11).
2. Personal data we collect

We rely on your consent for processing, and you may withdraw it at any time (§5).
4. Sharing & third parties
Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, storage, hosting.
Razorpay — payment processing.
Aaila streaming infrastructure — to deliver your live video to viewers.
Sellers/Buyers — order and delivery details are shared between the buyer and the relevant seller to fulfil an order.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Your rights & choices
Access & correction of your personal data.
Erasure — delete your account and personal data from within the app
(Profile → Delete account) or by emailing us; we action erasure within 7 days, subject to legal retention.
Withdraw consent — as easily as you gave it, in-app or by email.
Grievance redressal — contact our Grievance Officer (§11); we respond within 90 days.
Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
6. Children (under 18)
Aaila is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal
data of children. Under the DPDP Act, individuals under 18 are "children"; we do not permit accounts for
minors and do not direct tracking, profiling or targeted advertising at children. If we learn we have a
minor's data, we will delete it.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. When you
delete your account or withdraw consent, we erase your personal data within 7 days, except records we must
retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
8. Security & breach notification
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. In the event of a personal-data breach, we
will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required (within 72 hours where applicable).
9. International processing
Some service providers (e.g. Google Firebase) may process data on servers outside India in line with
applicable law.
10. AI features
We use AI services to assist with product descriptions, image enhancement, and to moderate chat for
objectionable content. Content you submit to these features is processed to provide the feature and for safety.
11. Grievance Officer & contact

12. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use after changes means
you accept the updated policy.
